An Actual Email
this is an actual email i sent out to a mailing list i'm on.
I work in a bookstore that has a junior high down one street and highschool down another. Not only does the bookstore sell books, but we sell music too. So right around 3 in the afternoon, Monday thru Friday we get a lot of traffic over in the music department.
I present to you "Excuse Me." Starring: Them: Played by Junior
Highschool/Highschool Persons (just a generalization) and Me: Sheila - The
frustrated booksellar.
Them: "Excuse me, but do you have the new NSYNC album?" Me: "Nope. It's not
out yet." Them: "But my friend has it." Me: "No, they don't." Them: "I saw
it." Me: "No they don't have NSYNC's album 'No Strings Attached'. They
either have some interview CD or they have the single for 'Bye...' They have
to wait until Mar 21st like everyone else. That means Virgin (Megastore)
doesn't have it neither will Tower (Records.) No one." Them: "Really? Oh.
Thanks."
FOR THE LOVE OF GAWD PEOPLE - Nsync's album doesn't come out until March
21st!! Your friend that says she has it is LYING!!! If they think they have
it, it's called a SINGLE. Can you tell I'm getting really tired of my job?
here's what someone sent me back:
Sheila,
i actually heard that TransContinental was going to release an Import version
of "No Strings Attached" before the actual Jive release date...could be that one
of these kids purchased that.
Wren
See that...! They bought an import! No!!! it's an import damnit!! can you hear me? AN IMPORT!!! It's not the same thing. It's no worse books.
