the good news: i no longer have to lock my car manually - i went to wally world aka wal-mart for a battery for my car alarm clicker thing, and 2 fast 2 furious & the scarface dvds are only 15 bucks. wow!

the weird news: there was lady there walking around with this huge and i do mean HUGE juicy couture bag. it was red & had J U I C Y C O U T U R E hugely written on the sides. whatever happened to subtlety?

an irish angel

i forgot that 'angel' started its cable syndication run on TNT yesterday. you get to see the late glenn quinn use his own voice *read his irish accent* as the demon doyle.

the first thing i ever saw flash the fine baby blues in was 'covington cross'

so if you don't own the first season of 'angel' on dvd... you can get your fix this way.

borders

i made some really good friends while at borders for 3 years... the corporation still has it's managers do some pretty shiesty things like walk around the sales floor and make sure you suggestive sale crap people don't want *seriously no one wants buy 5 pounds of bertie botts beans* ... but it was a great experience. i learned how to pimp things... and plus that friend thing. working at borders got me back into my sci-fi friday night thing, which i don't readily admit to in front of strangers. *i think i just did* would a normal person turn down a night of friends, food, music, and partying to watch farscape & poltergeist: the leagacy?

what brought this on you ask...? sarena, a friend from borders dept. hell *she worked the children's section* just came online. i haven't seen her since.... was it star wars night last year? no... i don't remember.

it's been that long.

i miss those days of high-on something francie singing about stinky cheesman to all the ritalin subdued 3 year olds and their gap-oprah mommies who want their decaf nonfat mocha with whipcream. decaf? they're still breastfeeding 4 year old timmy.

my own...!

people everywhere are thrilled about the 'return of the king' trailer.

on to suckier news: what in the hell were the writers notably brad kern thinking when he wrote the season premiere episodes of 'charmed.' my gawd... it was the amazons of xena turned into a man's fantasy frolick. i think this is what happens when people become burned out.

werewolves, vampires, & witches oh my!

i made the 'fall reads' list to the right because fall is upon us and halloween is *counting toes & fingers* 33 days away.

i've read all the books listed and including the ones in the series. (the only book i haven't read is "bitten" by kelley armstrong, a werewolf book.) so i made a book list appropiate of the season.

there are books from the genres of romance and horror. there are 2 young adult books - "blood & chocolate" & "the blooding." *i wish i was where i need to be - i'd buy the movie rights of that one* i have some light stuff and 2 anhtologies on that list. 7 of the books are part of a series or a trilogy - so if you get hooked, hahaha!

:lol

3 books are vampire related, 1 is about a mummy, 5 are about werewolves, 2 are about witches, 1 about a prepubescent wizard, and 1 about a demon & his keeper.

bored

jeezus...! i'm waiting to watch another 3 movies... so i hop my ass back on my computer... i must share that my father was thinking of me as he drove back with the she-bitch from the monterey bay jazz fest.... they stopped at the ikea store in the bay and brought me back a catalog. ooh nice. they only stopped cause she likes ikea too. me & the she-bitch have quite a few things in common... ikea, costplus, gardening *when i actually do it* and a few other things... like my dad as jessica pointed out.

he's been cleaning his mausoleum... ooops my bad his bedroom & retreat so i think soon-to-be mrs. shebitch is coming over.

addictions

i admit that i am addicted to making amazon lists. i make them to help me keep track of things... things i read and things i want to read and/or own. but my gawd amazon is taking this to a whole new level... you and others can see how many people have viewed a list. which on one hand helps to know if you're wasting your time, on another hand there's bound to competition, on another hand it's going to make some people go sleepless at nights "did i update my list with that new book by so-and-so," and where did that 3rd hand come from?

my 66 lists have been seen by a total of 2,922 people. i have no idea when amazon started to actually count.. who cares, but my "charmed books" list has been viewed by 661 people. whoa. but still i made that list for me, i have no idea if other people found it helpful.

sidenote: joss whedon's "firefly" first and only season will be available on dvd decemebr 9th. gina torres aka nebula from "hercules" aka cleopatra from "xena," aka hel from "cleopatra 2525," aka ana espinosa from "alias," aka cass from "the matrix: reloaded" and now from joss whedon's "angel" as jasmine played zoe on the series.

maybe i should make a gina torres list...?

i updated my dvd sidebar info... yah yah everyone is excited to be getting the extended dvd of the two towers... but what everyone is really excited about and has prayed for, for years will be upon us november 4th. *happy dance* i still can't believe it... back in june november seemed so far away. that's only 37 days from today. woohoo!

the doctor is in!

...or he will be. I bet the PBS stations will pick it back up... that's where I first saw the Doctor. you know pbs stations show a lot of 'imported tv.' gormenghast, mystery, eastenders, monarch of the glen - that's just to name a very select few.

johnny lee miller as lord byron? i wonder when we'll get it over here.

clocks video

me: this will make you feel better *as i pop a cd in*
the music starts
elliott: what is this... sound therapy for my foot?
me: haha! but no it's coldplay's "clocks." good song.
elliott: *grimacing in pain either from his toe or the music, not sure which*
me: no seriously listen to it. don't you picture a drive up the coast with the top down and being with that special someone?
elliott: highway 1.
me: ooh yah the pch (pacific coast highway.)

haha! i think he's hooked. but seriously anytime i hear "clocks" i'm thinking sunny beach.. and a fast ride. lots of really quick images... i wonder if i can enlist daniel to help make a video?

are you gonna couple?

woohoo! the new season of friends starts tonight... then we have coupling.

so hurry up and tivo it if you aren't jessica or kristel. :wink

i wanna hear people's opinion of the of the almost original coupling vs the so-called new one.

anyway i think i'm only watching friends out of habit... and some possible new kind of fetish - self-inflicted torture. i hope to gawd this joey/rachel thing is done and over with in one episode. "the one where rachel thinks kisisng joey is like kissing her sister."

there's this new kid at work he's from england *no really he's a kid, he's 16 and he'll be starting sac state next spring* anyway we were talking tv last week... and i was asking him about tv shows like "monarch of the glen" & "coupling" and he said they're okay. he then goes on to say, "now eastenders that's the shit!" i started laughing... i used to watch that in junior high... den, angie, michelle, dot cotton! the woman that plays dot cotton played the nanny in the bbc production of "gormenghast."

update: friends is the proverbial beaten, dead maggoty horse. thank goodness for lisa kudrow.

update: word for word... it was disturbing. it wasn't the coupling i've come to know. something to think about...

this jeff vs this jeff

it's kinda like if they got someone else other than alan rickman to play severus snape... it just wouldn't be right? look right? feel right?

next up: miss match & boomtown... what happened to sci-fi fridays?

last post

okay one more thing then i'm really off to bed. the "return of the king" trailer is going to be before... *drumroll* "secondhand lions"

hahaha... reading that reminds me how will smith talked about how his "enemy of the state" movie did great despite not opening on "big willy weekend" (aka July 4th weekend) it actually opened up in november 98 or something ... and it had the "star wars phantom menance" trailer at the beginning. all those people ponied up 8 bucks to see a trailer, willy, not your movie. the same thing is going to happen for "secondhand lions." you just watch...

keep a look out at new line's trailer site if you can't bear the thought of paying 6 to 10 bucks to see the "return of the king" trailer. the article goes on to say that the trailer will be online next monday! a whooping 2 minutes & 30 seconds!! you know this teaser is gonna be way better than that let down of a teaser for "t3" that came out last year. teaser my ass.

for all you hardcore fans... "secondhand lions" opened up last friday on the 19th. there should be a defintie surge in viewership. :wink

new group?

when reading the cd jacket info for "underworld" i'd swear that there's a new group forming... maynard of tool & a perfect circle, milla, danny lohner of nine inch nails, lisa germano & this mysterious group called puscifer. what's really going on?

the track that has all of them working together is "rev 22:20." the whole thing reeks of a perfect circle or tool on valium at certain points. i'm not complaining.

GO GET IT!

update: 20 minutes of digging and i came up with this... puscifer sounds like a bit like a perfect circle & tool cause it's maynard keenan's side project. this man has more side projects than anyone else. article #1 & article #2. and puscifer isn't really a side project... it's more of a um... cover name.

pretty sneaky.

pretty sneaky #2 goes to danny lohner aka renholder.

if former stuntmen & a props guy can write a story & movie script i should be able to do what i need.

i had a dream *as in sleeping dream* that i won an emmy for writing. i was crying and i was joined onstage by a bunch of people. i wonder if joan rivers made fun of my clothes...

speaking of clothes i've been looking through my kenneth cole catalog... depressing. i do not earn that kind of money anymore. hell i can't even buy his defunct unlisted or reaction stuff. i'm so broke i can't even go buy donna karan's cheap line of dkny. i is poor.

Underworld

april and i saw "underworld" yesterday.

the trailers first but before i begin... let me remind you all that UA - United Artists theatres show commercials. real life, as seen on tv commercials... which is quite bothersome. i really do hope that the local century theatre wins the bidding this year and gets lotr back. so the trailers... first one was "resident evil 2: apocalypse," "in the cut," "texas chainsaw massacre," "out of time," and "gothika." "resident evil" is on my list - especially since cute eric mabius is back.

so the movie starts... and i'm thinking music video. then i'm like no resident evil... no no no, blade 2. the movie itself looked amazing... the color... i think tim burton was being channeled.

i've seen the movie called romeo & juilet-esque... i don't see how. the supposed relationship was all but forgotten. it's like they remembered it near the end... "oh yah! they're supposed to fall for each other." the story itself could've been better. i bet that they'll get it right second time around. there wasn't a whole lot of vamping around or a lot wolfing it but there was plenty of black. plus enough pvc to satisfy any fetishists out there.

the movie ends on a rather high note... sequel. i suppose i should pick up the second book in when it comes out... it might explain some of the things that happen to selene and michael where the movie ends.

may monkeys crap on his head to the guy that was sitting in front of me and kept talking.
may elephants sit on your car... to the parents that brouight in the babies and the 5 & 8 year old kids.

recommendation: read the anita blake books. vampires are people too!

no really i'm not complaining.

off to see underworld with april.

banned books - waldo?

on the harry potter book discussion for adults mailing list someone brought up banned books... *even though i worked at borders for 3 years i always forgot unless we had signage up.* anyway the subject came up and someone posted - "who wants to know why "Where's Waldo" was challenged."

question finally answered - "Where's Waldo? Martin Handford. Little. Challenged at the Public Libraries of Saginaw, Mich. (1989), Removed from the Springs Public School library in East Hampton, N.Y. (1993) because there is a tiny
drawing of a woman lying on the beach wearing a bikini bottom but no
top. Yes, but did they find Waldo?"

um wasn't there a floating penis or something in disney's "the little mermaid?"

speaking of npr all week they've been doing stuff on fashion to coinicide with new york's fashionweek... this morning they covered almost every woman's obsession - shoes.

i almost fell out of bed when i heard the part that people... mostly women get their toes shortened. um get a bigger size....you idiot. isn't that a bit like that chinese footbinding thing?

where is my money?

latest adventures in hell...

they wouldn't let anyone take a break because some idiot v.p. of west coast ops and some corporate munchkin were coming for a visit. lemme tell you how bad this was - two of the people that opened the store at 4:30AM *a supervisor & an expendable peon like me* didn't get to take a break until after 12:30pm... i didn't start until 8 and i was ready to strangle a few people by 11am. i can only imagine how they felt. so guess when i took my break? no c'mon guess.... i started at 8... i'm off at 2... i took my break 10 minutes before i clocked out. oh girrrrl.... heads are gonna roll monday morning.... these are the same people that spout the law about taking breaks. "you need to take your 10 it's the law." "hurry clock out!"

to top all this off... they don't have anyone's paycheck... *i'm not sure who this collective they is but THEY know who they are* they're offering nothing. NOTHING. no phone number... no alternatives... no nothing. i am so pissed right now...

if we were all on a boat right now and i was the captain... i would wait until we were in shark infested waters and i would make them all walk the plank. "har, har me heartys! walk the friggin plank cause you don' took pirate queen cheela's money. har har!!"

where's my money?!?!?!

i didn't hear one person talk pirate-speak today.

oooh yah.. i always talk about this book... i pimp the hell out of it during march - woman's history month...

booty: girl pirates on the high seas

it's a bit juvenile but it's such a cool book. so many women pirates from so many different countries... who knew woman's history was so interesting... I DID!! :smile speaking of... there's a movie coming out... "magdalene sisters"... i'm definitely going to be adding this to my must-see list.

underworld on tv

so i guess after "blade's" airing on tnt tonight - they're going to have a sneak preview of "underworld." and then there's that thing on the sci-fi channel tomorrow night. nope i'm not watching. ok... just maybe a peek.

did you know...

Director Stephen Norrington makes a cameo
as a vampire on the side of the road biting a
girl's neck, while Blade chases after officer
     Krieger.

Uttering a couple of lines and dancing, Traci
Lords, the former porn star and current
B-movie queen, appears briefly at the
beginning of the film and is then killed by
     Blade.

taken from tnt's site

oh yah marjean holden of the cancelled show "beastmaster" has photos up on her site from when she was in the movie "blade". um yah.... how fun is that?

retro... or maybe not.

if you look at my sidebar you'll see that i went on a bit of an 80s kick. i have an older sister that was into the "new wave" thing oh so many years ago... i even have some of her albums here still.... i wouldn't call her the original rock n roll mama but when her kids were 2 years old they knew the words to black sabbath's "iron man." between her & her husband... i'm surprised that sam & zach didn't know the whole album.

funny story: i was playing a live song of metallica's for my sister the "kill/ride medley" and she was doing a bunch of air guitar in the kitchen... samantha nearly died of embarassment. it was so funny... "mom!!! stop!!"

:rofl

the last 3 pictures are of my mother's album soundtracks from "close encounters of the third kind" and "star wars" - now you know where it came from.

underworld

romeo & juliet, huh? i'm not reading anymore synopses... not even the book, which i am assuming is a poor novelization of the screenplay. what's really disturbing is that there is a book 2 already planned for a may 2004 release.

this sucks "underworld" is at the ghetto theatre... what? you say there is no ghetto around here... yes that's true. there is no ghetto in this area... but the UA theatre has habit of attracting the ghetto-element.

and i know what i'm doing for banned book week... i'm going to get used or new copies of "the agony of alice," "the outsiders," and/or a paperback version of "harry potter & the sorcerer's stone" and register them at the bookcrossing and leave them in local starbucks around here.

fight the power!!

Banned Books Week

quick reminder banned book week is from september 20th to september 27th this year.

holy smoking pussywillow batman...!!! "the scary stories" series has been challenged? they've got to be joking... the alice series? oh my gosh.. those books are so good!! the "agony of alice" is the best.

i still can't believe judy blume was ever banned... i understand the why's of harry potter, which i still think is crazy...

man look at all those books. the great gilly hopkins, the anastasia krupnik series, in the night kitchen, blubber, killing mr griffin, deenie, to kill a mockingbird, the outsiders, james and the giant peach.

i've read almost that whole list while growing up. i can't imagine not reading those books cause someone said i couldn't... i'm pretty lucky my parents never policed or censored what i read. i can't imagine my mother or father never letting me read the babysitter's club, sweet valley high, or christopher pike books. i would've thrown a fit.

"the outsiders" written by s.e. hinton... which a librarian told me is really susan cooper who wrote the dark is rising books. i remember my sister renting the movie... and i remember watching the show.

for its very last show "sex & the city" sure did go without a bang for those of you without tivo for a synopsis go here. what a friggin let down... i've been watching the show since summer 98... the only character that was written normally... samantha. especially when she dyed her hair. ROTFLMFAO!

:rofl

i dunno i guess this episode was just like any other epsiode.... it didn't feel special.

bored bored

anyway.... harry potter & the sorcerer's tone comes on hbo in like 30 minuts... but i'm not watching it oh no siree. why? cause i just watched alan rickman in "sense & sensibility" again it's hard for me to totally appreciate alan rickman as the whiny colonel brandon and then respect & fear him as professor snape... though he's hella cool in the roles of "dr. lazarus" & "metatron."

click the lil AIM icon... and talk to me.

who you gonna call?

you know how people have that emergency contact thing...? the only people i would have on mine would be yessica and sgt. dad. i'm only thinking about this cause MsLaHonda isn't starting and i only have 2 people to call if i were in dire need... like bleeding to death or stranded on the side of the road or if my car and i are in a starbucks parking lot and my car won't start. yessica and sgt. dad. i go into starbucks and i come out... lahonda doesn't start. i'm sitting there with a hot, venti tuxedo thinking of what i'm going to tell the idiots at hell. they already tried calling me at 7 to tell me to come in.

jeezus... i think maybe i should pack up and head to the bay and take an idiot job at yahoo or ebay.... but then that defeats the purpose of staying here in sac... oh man, if it's not one thing it's something else.

i want a leopard print or black leather case for my palm. i can't find one.

I Forgot

sometimes i miss being in a bookstore for 40 hours a week... then i remember the oprahites and thank gawd i'm no longer there.

i had forgotten about the link between this and this. poe & mark z. danielewski are sister & brother. and she even has a track called "house of leaves" on the cd... and i think danielewski reads over the radio edit of the "hey pretty" radio single. or was that their father?

someone correct me if i'm wrong.

lending library

not all of my books are packed away... but enough... anyway my sister - mari popped up from the bay... *poor out-of-work photographer* anyway mari showed up with our mom and 2 12-packs of mtn dew! *yes, jessica my mother is an enabler* and anyway... mari is so bored... she actually went browsing through what i have left on my bookcase. she took all the laurell k hamilton paperbacks i have.... all the hardcovers are all packed away... no one can borrow those anyway, they're signed.

haha i already told jessica, but mari came into mchell and the bad-attitude, manager chick i made cry, gave mari a dirty look. hahaha... mari was like whatever you fast-food career idiot.

mari aka THE DON!! my lil sister THE DON!! we don't need VIP when we have THE DON!!

shout out to the idiot that now has an ex-wife that is suing him for full custody of his child...!!

i want chicken & beer

i just added Ludacris' "Chicken & Beer" to my side bar of upcoming new music releases. his new one "stand up" is a great club piece.

"i'm the goddamned reason you in VIP/C.E.O. you don't have to see I.D."

which reminds... since mari, elliott, and i are of drinking age... i think we all need to go out just once together. which should be interesting... a club and not a bar... which should either provide me with 6 hours of amusement or 5 1/2 hours in police custody.

"did you just tell my brother to buy you a drink? buy your damn drink, you jezebel!"
"get your hands off my sister's ass, you dirty man-whore!"
"hahaha did you hear that... that guy asked me to dance!!"

despite what bill o'reilly says ludacris is not a gangsta rapepr. who even made that stupid term - "gangsta rapper" - up?

Posted by MsBHaven at 06:51 PM | Comments (0)

shiesty bastards

no i'm not talking about cyberpixels again... i'm referring to this and this.

i've been on the "information highway" *i can't believe they ever called it that* for quite some time.... long enough to remember that most email addresses ended in .edu and .gov so long enough... long enough to know that if you can't do it yourself you either ask someone to help you or you go and learn. but you don't take someone's stuff.

mind you all my sites are nothing new, innovative, or original. example my tough chicks. it's a women in history site... information found in books and websites... so if anyone made another "women's history" site i can't be mad... but if someone lifted some original work of mine... be it text or even a picture i've taken and uploaded to my own site... they would find me on their doorstep. and people think they can hide behind the internet... no you can't.

you all should ask jessica about the *69 incident with the lady calling my phone and hanging up on me... i bet you she'll never call someone else and hang up on them.

that was kinda funny.

"did you just call me?"

Viva el mariachi!

I love Robert Rodriguez!! that man has such a sense of humor. if you go see "once upon a time in mexico" you'll understand why. actually if you catch HBO's first look rodriguez says he cast willem dafoe in the part of a mexican to be non-pc. not only does robert rodriguez direct, but he also writes, edits... *he edited "the faculty" in his garage,* he even produces.

cheech marin... and a few others made it back for this one. what else... salma hayek sings at the end, she's not in the movie for nearly as much as i thought she would be... johnny depp does to his role of sands the cia agent, what he does for most of his characters - he makes it his own. eva mendes wasn't even there. no really... she wasn't.

i'm gonna have to go watch "from dusk til dawn" now. chiclet anyone?

John Ritter Dies...

what sad news. I cannot believe this. This man is incredible...was incredible. He had such talent. I don't think Three's Company would have made it without him. I mean, who else could have been John Ritter? We have lost such a good comedian. There aren't a lot of GOOD comedians left. They all have to swear and talk about girls like bit**** and make fun of their mommas. He was really funny. Where can you find that anymore? I know I am rambling...but what a loss. He died last night in the Burbank hospital, a tear in his aorta. He would have been 55 next week. What a sad day.

YooHoo!

now you know why i take my camera everywhere i go. the whole time i wanted to yell, "yoohoo! mr. fireman, there's a fire over here!!" and my favorite, "mr. policeman, do you use your handcuffs strictly for work? or do you use them for pesonal use, too? cause i've been very naughty." :wink

the pictures are from a neighbor's home... her water heater or something caught fire and exploded. i took more photos but um... nm.

Gustiso****: where are the flames?
MsBHaven76: no flames... lots of smoke though
Gustiso****: I want to see flames and people running around half naked because they were about to 'shower'
Gustiso****: you didn't get that on film?
MsBHaven76: LOL
MsBHaven76: there was none of that
Gustiso****: that's not a fire

and more...

Gustiso****: don't I sound like a rubbernecker?
Gustiso****: ooooo...slow down so I can see the naked people honey
Gustiso****: slower slower.....there are actually flames this time
Gustiso****: (should we call 9-1-1?)
MsBHaven76: horrible.
Gustiso****: we do have FREE minutes on our cell phones
Gustiso****: oh nm....I'm SURE someone else has already called
Gustiso****: I just saw sheila drive by
Gustiso****: I"m sure she did her civic duty and called
MsBHaven76: LOL
Gustiso****: um.....
Gustiso****: no wait...she's just taking pics for her blog
Gustiso****: really.....WHERE ARE THE NAKED PEOPLE?
Gustiso****: ok honey...let's go

:angry so the 9th level of hell is really trying my temper and my patience. my favorite thing so far is these ignoramuses reciting to me california's labor code on breaks *for the record i know the law... i have my uncle & dad who i think knows every single vehicle code... penal code... known to man in california* anyway these idiots have the audacity to tell me to take a "10" 15 minutes before i leave. WTF...?! and now i have to go back to 9th level hell at 6am... if they try this shit tomorrow i'm gonna go get my dew and a starbucks venti tuxedo... get hopped up on caffiene and kick some ass. it'll be an ass-kicking day that starts at 6am.

m u s i c

i'll point out of 2 of my previous posts from last month.

post #1 and post #2... and this one.

i'll say it again... it's only a matter of time before sharman networks loses. they'll have to surrender all their records of users ip addresses... and what was downloaded. like rick just said, "but if they were smart kazaa would dump thier records of who accessed them lol."

anyone remember how people were "surrendering" their pirated software last year? it was a city-by-city thing. i wonder what's going to happen to all those people that downloaded adobe's photoshop and stuff... cause we all know microhardasses, adobe, and others will go after all those people for downloading their stuff illegally. once those records are made available to interested parties... microhardasses being one.

update: this is why rick & i will never do the cisco thing - we have too much fun online.

Posted by MsBHaven at 10:08 PM | Comments (0)

it will get better. well it will.

okay today in sheila's 9th level of hell... i realized some people really do not aspire for more in their lives. no really they don't.

some coporate people came to hell to visit and to see if everything at the bottom really is true. what's really sad they all looked the same. unisex clothing... pleated front pants. the gay men had on plain front khakis. i'm not allowed to wear my plain front black gap khakis anymore. i have to wear these pleated synthetic, polyester-wannabe-linen things. sick, sick, sick!!

what else... some guy came in and on his t-shirt there were figures depicting certain positions done during islamic prayers - and the msg on the shirt said "islam - theory of revolution." huh? i think i must've been taking it wrong... but his friend on some cool glasses by d&g.

and mike answered my question: what is yorkshire pudding? what makes it doubly *is that even a word* cool is that mike lives in yorkshire. i wonder what he thinks of nigella's take on yorkshire pudding?

no seriously - jessica & kristel - TIVO QUEENS! jessica tivo queen of the north, kristel tivo queen of the south.

i am a Z O M B I E

okay i was supposed to go straight to bed when i got home... but i thought about it... and i knew what i was getting myself into by working in that waste of brain power hellhole. (from all the stories told to me by my uncle and dad.... working in my current hell is like being a cubicle government employee. except without the guns... and no people in handcuffs.) i'm earning minor ducats at a thankless job. but in the end all my little projects, the shitty jobs, the 5 hours of sleep will have been worth it. i'm not expecting these HUGE payoffs... but mostly small, personal ones.

i'm supposed to work 6am to 2pm tomorrow... i am insanely tired... i was already tired when i went to ms yessica's to hang... i gotta say it was worth it. baby b and i bonded over mass produced french fries, rollos, drumsticks, baby einstein, and the smartest cat on the friggin block. geesh my arms hurt... but baby b is so worth it.

to those wondering - it's up to kristel to share her occupation. yessica knows, i know. so there!

despite the recall and some of gray davis' stupidity - i really do hope hope california gets someone better than davis & bustamante. i dislike bustamante all because of his driver.

jessica & kristel - the TiVo queens!!

"buffy, the vampire slayer" as a movie didn't do too well... but the TV show is/was amazing. i wonder if that mean's that joss whedon's not so great tv show "firefly" will do well as a movie?

werewolves & vampires! oh my!!

okay the more trailers i see for "underworld" the more i know i'm gonna like it. the whole thing reminds me of the anita blake series & the movie style of "blade 2".

also looking at the newer trailer i think they did some color manipulations to the film. kinda like what they did for "Amélie."

at least someone likes my taste in music. and on that note - no more kazaa. there are better things out there. privately run and much better.

die-die-die boredom

sgt dad is off at the next to last jazz festival of the season. so that means i have the house to myself for the next few days... watching "real time with bill maher" and perusing the cyberpixels msgboard and helpdesk area... wondering why they haven't done anything on the backend for my newly acquired domain.

so far my favorite post from the board Does Cyberpixels REALLY have support? and people wonder why i'm going to run my own server. i wonder when hostradius will open hosting back up.

Cradle of Panasonic

So I finally saw Tomb Raider 2. first are the trailers... because i didn't go see tr2 during opening weekend i know i missed out on the big ones... but today there were ones for "kill bill" *i am so going to see it - micahel madsen is in it,* "the fighting temptations" *shirley caesar is in it,* disney's "haunted mansion" *reminds me a little of michael jackson's "ghosts"*, and then there was the trailer for "rundown" starring dwayne johnson aka THE ROCK! and that other guy and rosario dawson.

so this time around there weren't any weird skin things going on... *remember the pathetic attempt to cover angelina jolie's tattoos in the last movie*, second, the story was a lil bit better.... it's summer movie eyecandy .... it had action, cool clothes... i loved her white coat. GORGEOUS!

the product placement thing... what was up with all the panasonic. the camera... the c-phone. the computer? the television the chinese family had on their boat? that was a lil too much even for me.

my rating: worth seeing in the theatre & worth owning on dvd.

jessica - what are they doing to the golfcourse at the countryclub? did you see that the traffic light right in the middle of egblvd is working? it's like highschool all over again... remember the stop sign? where'd the hell did that come from? "mr. officer, it wasn't there yesterday."

Talking in loud voices...

When is it fighting? If you are in Best Buy or any other store, and you are having a conversation that is too loud, and we all know what is too loud....when is that considered fighting? Why is it that people don't know what to not talk about in the middle of the store? Why do people seem to thrive off of the attention? If you are that hard up for attention that you need to frequent an establishment that allows that sort of thing and charges for it. The rest of us don't want to know about the things you can't agree on.....in LOUD VOICES.

Its All Wet

one year while working at borders people kept comingin or calling in for the "waterproof book." everyone was like "what?" then we found out they were talking about "Aqua Erotica: 18 Stories for a Steamy Bath". ooooh that book. yes it's really waterproof. for those people that want to spend quality time with their book in the shower or tub. so a whole bunch of us, including myself bought copies. i must say that there is a story for everyone in there. well a second book, "Wet: More Aqua Erotica" came out last year... I wonder if a third will come out?

None of that to your liking check out DuraBook's other waterproof books. Out of the 6 listed I'm sure there's something for everyone.

my gawd... i now have 62 lists. it's a sickness i tell yah.

I Will Admit It

I have a bad temper. I can admit this. But I do not do the confrontation thing. Well, sometimes... it just depends on the situation. Like if a person is tailgating me I try to let them I think they're an asshole.

Last week at work this stupid heifer tried to write me up... for being late.. my bad I read the schedule wrong and for calling her bitch. Not once in the confrontation did I yell. I told her exactly what I thought of her... I told her how rude I thought she was... how she talks to me and other employees... I said if you think I'm the only one that thinks this, you're wrong. That was that... needless to say I didn't sign the damn write-up. I do think I made her cry though, her face was all red and splotchy... better for her to cry than my fist in her face.

you know as opposed to those fake books.

"If You Can't Live Without Me, Why Aren't You Dead Yet"
"English As a Second F*cking Language"
"Even God Is Single, So Stop Giving Me A Hard Time"

That is a whole lot of romance

i am officialy a romance anthology whore. i own all of those. i think have mmore somewhere in a box. the only ones that didn't fit on the list are: "My Scottish Summer" and "A Season In the Highlands". This one isn't a romance anthology but it is an anthology just the same: "Single White Vampire Seeks Same".

I honestly don't know how this woman is going to write another series when her other one isn't even finished.

Gustis***: yah...I don't need to be hardcore
Gustis***: people sense that about me already

and then:

Gustis***: sometimes you just can't handle reading knowing any moment that chick is going to get the short end of the stick
