woo! go download msn messenger!!! rick and i *mostly me* were having fun with the webcam and audio features. there goes something else nifty gone to porn.

speaking of porn... i'm not dating that man that mike has linked to on his blog. he's not even my type... he has an afro for crying out loud.

MsBHaven says: i'm listening to delerium's 'terra firma'
MsBHaven says: great song
Optimus Prime says: that some african hindi weirdo music o.O

delerium doesn't make weird music.

surprised... or maybe not.

surprised: i never knew there was a fashionweek in new zealand. i know of new york's fashionweek. and london's. but new zealand? must start subscribing to 'w' magazine again.

not that surprised: the 'harry potter & prisoner of azkaban' trailer will be shown before that stinkin 'looney toons' movie november 14th. saw the news confirmed on hpana. that means *hopefully* that the trailer will be online monday, november 17. *fingers crossed*

off to be creative with mrs. lee & kieran and the gang or to die. i just have to pick one.

edit: so i'm on the phone and baby b says my name! but he said it 4 TIMES!

mimi's cafe makes some damn good meatloaf. DAMN GOOD.

OMG! i don't know if mtv showed this back in may for 'matrix: reloaded' but OMG! tonight mtv showed a scene from 'matrix: revolutions' that's opening up next week. the guys were walking on the ceiling!! i am so excited...

first comes the story then, then comes the special efx... 'how are we going to show that? can we even do that?'

next week 'matrix: revolutions,' 'love actually,' and so much more.

simon says get the...

tonight's 'alias' had a very weird combo for music. at the yakuza run casino... there was a melding of pharoahe monch's 'simon says' & kenny roger's 'the gambler.' i couldn't stop laughing. can you say musical generation gap?

oh? you don't who the hell pharoahe monch is? prolly not... but you've heard his stuff before... in 'charlie's angels' sam rockwell aka 'knox' cuts loose to 'simon says' when he has drew barrymore aka 'dylan' all tied up.

random bullshit

Francesca Lia Block!! Harpercollins has now made a site worthy of this woman. even if it's only to promote her new book 'wasteland.' her official site is cool. way more informative than the publisher's site. i notice a lot her booksignings and appearances are down in southern cali... perhaps to due her family. it would be nice if this woman - Suza Scalora would do another book.

last night my dad went to some dinner thing and guess who the keynote speaker was? jesse! as in jesse jackson. who fucking cares.... now if maybe hmm... mr. jrr tolkien was there himself... or george lucas the man who was once gifted at storytelling. i'd be stoked. mr. lucas was once so good at storytelling that joseph campbell liked him..

which brings me to this... i was a bad movie patron this summer... i only saw 4 of the 8 summer movies i wanted to see this summer. :sad so yesterday i finally saw 'the matrix: reloaded.' ellie brought it over... and first let me say, i love star wars. i love indiana jones. i love george lucas... but the wachowski brother i think have it down. they have their story... then they come up with the special efx for the story. george... i love yah babe, seems to be only making the story to support the special efx. does that make sense? I LOVE STAR WARS. i saw episode ii and wanted to smack anakin upside his whiny head, but i love star wars enough to go see episode iii in the theatre... i just hope the story isn't sacrificed for more special efx.

damn my left eye twitch is back. stress & frustration. i'll be dead when i turn 30 at this point.

I'M GOOD WITHOUT YOU

so watching tv does have its benefits.. i got to see rah digga's new video 'party & bullshit 2003.' GREAT!! 'i beat that bitch with a bat' that was great and i also saw the new video from the soundtrack of the soon to be released movie 'honey'. blaque's 'i'm good.' someone needs to remind natina reed that she's not lisa 'left eye' lopes. oh no honey you ain't... anyway the movie starring jessica alba is comign december 5th... no i'm not going to see it, but the video has her in it for like 2 seconds at the beginning with missy elliott *SHE'S A GOD* and blaque and at the end. i still like the song... 'i'm good without you, i'm good, i'm good' but that verse still brings on 'if you can't live without me, why aren't you dead yet?' LOL

so no 'honey' i'm looking forward to finally seeing 'love actually,
'magdalene sisters,' and 'the punisher.' i know april will want to go see 'love actually' just cause of that colin firth dude.... me to see alan rickman. :smile

'love actually' trailer
'the punisher'trailer
'magdalene sisters' trailer
the 'honey' trailer

edit: guess what desktop i downloaded from the 'love actually' site? OMG! i've already bought it or more like 'pre-ordered.' it come sout november 11th.

goblet of fire

rumor has it that the new 'harry potter & the prisoner of azkaban' trailer will be in front of the new warner bros 'looney tunes back in action' movie. who knows... the only new thing at the warner bros harry potter site is an interview with daniel radcliffe. btw he's commited to doing the HP4 - the goblet of fire. that's comforting... i hate when actors don't reprise their role for a movie series... like michael keaton. the same can be said for directors. TIM BURTON.

got this from jamiee's bubble forums.

$%@#$% spam

first i love the cpanel upgrades, a lot! fantastico is a beautiful thing. i'm way too lazy to install stuff manually... the only downside to maintaining domains... the friggin spam! holy crap-shoot... i have found it's much easier to delete the whole inbox in filemanager/ftp than open up mailwasher and go through each individual piece of crap. my gawd the insanity... 452 pieces of crap. returned mail... spam.. do i really need a penis enlarger? it's just wrong. may spammers burn in hell.

if it weren't for babble boards at protagonist.com, php-princess.net, and movabletype forums - i would've kept my ass on geocities or my isp's squat 5MB of space.

another hp poa set picture

lookie that.... *scrutinizing* looks they like they changed the ties. looking at that picture - that kid that plays draco malfoy, *looks up on imdb.com* tom felton is going to lose his hair if they keep dying it. poor kid... he'll be bald at the age of 16. damn, that's rough.

you know i can't sew for squat... i can barely iron *thank gawd for the dry cleaners* but i'd give my ... hmm... black navy peacoat for a harry potter hogwarts robe.

no i wouldn't. i'd just pay someone to make one.

okay if 'dot & the kangaroo' can be released on dvd... why the hell not 'the last unicorn?' i don't get it... both classics from my childhood.

in other dvd news - jeff told me today that there's a rumor that on november 5th, mr. george 'we're not worthy oh master of myth' lucas will be announcing that star wars will be going to DVD!!! OMG!!! in the words of young james 'i need a tissue.'

somebody stop her

oh no...mari & i were going to chipotle and some lady pulled out in front of mari causing her to almost hit this stupid woman. so mari of course is waving her hands and yelling stuff. i mean i almost flipped the bitch off myself... anyway the lady then stops her BIG ASS SUBURBAN backs up.. mari's like hell no you got something to say fine... so mari in turns backs her car up... i'm thinking 'n ot today, i just want my damn burrito.' mari rolls down her window and i hear the lady say, 'there's no need to be cursing and ...' mari cuts her off, 'my pulling intot he parking lot isn't an invitation to pull in front of me either. learn to drive!' 'you need to watch your mouth. you black bitch!' WHAT? the lady drove off... and my prissy yet very angry sister tried to get out the car. i put mari's car in drive... and told her to just go as i held on to her. *trying to make sure she didn't jump out her car and chase after the crazy lady* too many witnesses around you know? i dunno... being called black, not so bad. being called a bitch, especially when you can give classes on bitchiness, not so bad either. but to hear black bitch strung togehter...it just sounds so bad.

call her a twat or something. that's what i do.

burn your televisions

NBC should be shot or maybe fire the vp of programming. they need more untapped writers. hmm i can think of a few.

Ironically, in spite of the whole Coupling debacle,
NBC is taking another stab at translating a hit
British comedy for American audiences. The
network has ordered a pilot for a U.S. version of
the sublime U.K. comedy The Office. (Some people
    never learn... )

okay aside from the name change 'mi:5' currently shown on a & e has been kept in tact... the only thing that could possibly kill me off of tv altogether if american versions of 'mi:5' AND 'ab fab' were made.

i just realized... you know what would really suck... american versions of some classics 'dr. who' & 'are you being served?' that's when you know people over here have truly lost their mind.

ugh!

HEAVEN!

i just found heaven...!!! if you all didn't know cdnow.com had the best thing going with their forums. keyword: had... they sold their soul to amazon. make that money, but don't let the money make you. *now amazon has no excuse for not making 4th quarter profits* ANYWAY there is now ADTUNES!! they have way better FORUMS!! all my commercial/trailer music questions can be answered... i mean the hard ones... like is that really a mel torme song used during an hbo promo?

did you know that cool music used for the spiderman trailers is curve's 'hell above water?' this past summer quarashi's 'stick em up' was used for the fast & the furious trailer? *a year too late in my opinion* what else... coldplay's 'clocks' is being used in the new peter pan trailer. if more cds like one and this one were made more... ADTUNES FORUMS wouldn't be needed. did i say that right? all the nyquil going to my head.

what i want to know is whose idea was it to use the music from 'gladiator' - a most recognizable film that starred russell crowe for the trailer of the new movie 'alamo?' they used 'the progeny,' 'the wheat,' & 'the battle' pieces from the first gladiator' soundtrack. um why? no really... why?

i think it's the nyquil.

in the meantime go enjoy this girl's list over on amazon.

mein what? just babbling

right now the history channel is showing stuff on the ss... that got me thinking about this one time at borders. this woman i rang up bought 'mein kampf.' i was like 'oh. you into hisotry?' she was like, ' oh no it's for my 15 year old grandson. he really wants to read it.' 'oh okay.' whatever...

another time at borders a customer had ordered this book called 'the spirit of 69: the skinhead bible.' i was like wtf?! *i don't censor people, so i don't expect people to censor my reading - i still did my job* i called the publsiher but they were out of stock... i mailed out the postcard... but i get a phonecall at my desk from another employee telling me that this loser was in the store and wanted to know if he was getting his book, 'the skinhead bible.' 'no. it's out of stock with the publisher. tell him he'll have to re-order it as the publisher doesn't know when they'll get more in.' hmm i want to know what a sacramento area skinhead looks like...? *no i was just being nosey* so i run out to the front where he was... he was dressed in what i have come to know as 'skinhead attire.' oh really...

that same guy that ordered that book ended up getting a job there. wtf!? the first thing out of my mouth when i was introduced to him was, 'i remember you. i remember what book you ordered.' all he said was 'okay.' i was thinking to myself how in the hell is he going to work here when the store manager is asian. so fast forward like 2 months.... it's a friday, a payday and everyone including this skinhead is in the backoffice waiting to get their checks... after everyone else is gone he starts talking to me... i'm trying my best to ignore him. after 2 minutes i'm done... i turn around to tell him to get the hell out of the office and the first thing i see on his jacket is a button saying something about 'being proud to be a s.h.a.r.p.e.' 'oh my gawd! you're a sharpe?!' patrick *that's his name* 'yah. wait, you thought i was a bonehead? man a bonehead wouldn't even know how to open a book.' so we started talking... and i find out his girlfriend is puerto rican. he's gotten into fights with neo-nazi skinheads... 'the skinhead bible' is a history of all skinheads... man, i felt stupid. my bad... i admit that. patrick also told me that the first skinheads were jamaicans that migrated to england. oh. okay.

i'm not really cool on the whole separatist thing. it's not me... i found this out from highschool... i was the president of the black student union at my highschool for 2 years. i was also a non-active memeber of the junior-naacp youth council *i still have that stupid membership card, too.* geesh that makes me think of how i was involved in that sorority. that stuff just doesn't work for me. being a member of a comic-book club or a girl racing team is more my thing. me being in a group proclaiming 'i'm a black woman!' or 'we're in a sorority so we're cooler than you are' just isn't my thing.

ellie would enjoy this one - kelly hu is hosting the history channel's 'conquest of hawaii' i wonder how many guys are going to watch this strictly for the history of hawaii and not for kelly hu...? :rofl

kill bill!

...and be sure to kill him good. i got back awhile ago from seeing 'kill bill' with april... OMG! there was so much blood.... my favorite characters are of course the bad guys... the crazy 88 fighters & Go Go Yubari' *oh she is from 'battle royale.' i wonder if that's why they had her character dress like that* anyway... there were parts that were cheesy... the blood. the feet. the arms. pretty much all the flying body parts. but it was so good.... the fight scenes... sonny chiba... i like it enough to get the dvd & soundtrack and to go see part 2. i wonder what april thought.

okay i just got that the four assassins are named after snakes. i am so slow.

'do you want to screw me?'

now for the matrix: reloaded dvd on tuesday and why aren't they showing this?

SICK!

good gawd! once again i have to point out that the year is 2003... *checking my calendar for the 2nd time this week* this shit is sick!

it's weird to me that knowing what i know and being raised in this day and age.. the concept of arranged marriages. so far i now know 2 people that have had arranged marriages. one of them has come from another country, fiji. and another girl i went to highschool with. she played soccer and went to college... she had an arranged marriage. i just can't understand it. i like making choices. HELL NO. it's not something i accept. it's just plain hard for me to understand how someone can accept that. besides being married means you have to share.

BUT TO BE FORCED INTO MARRIAGE WHILE YOU'RE UNDER 18 TO A MAN THAT'S TWO TO THREE TIMES YOUR AGE IS SICK! the kicker is that this crap happens right here in the good ol' united states. and then the best part is that not only do you share with your spouse, you get to share your spouse with a number of wives. fcuk that!!

why did i put oprah on the television in the first place? why? sometimes i hear about shit like that i feel like i have to go and do something. like kill all the men in the town.... actually let me stop lying i couldn't kill... torture is more my thing. hang them by their balls over a goalpost.

one of more weirder seasons of 'hercules'... but they had gina torres as 'nebula' which made it okay.

valhalla i am coming

valkyries were originally sinister spirits of
slaughter, dark angels of death who soared
over the battlefields like birds of prey,
meting out fate in the name of odin. in later
norse myth, the valkyries were romanticized
as odin's shield-maidens, virgins with golden
hair and snowy arms who served the chosen
heroes everlasting mead and meat in the
great hall of valhalla. on the battlefield, they
oared over the host as lovely swan-
    maidens or splendid mounted amazons.

from 'the ultimate encyclopedia of mythology' by arthur cotterell & rachel storm *one of a lot of mythology books i own*

so with that where did they get this?? artistic license with mythology is one thing but to completely butcher is something else.

civic duty

no i'm not talking about mslahaonda .... i'm talkingabout my civic duty as a US citizen. yah whatever... so i went and voted today. i just feel lame saying it... it's not even november and one friggin state is voting. geesh. arnie better not either.

as for the blood thing it didn't go very well. as you can see from my photos of testament... i didn't get to donate my blood. LOW IRON. a 32 to be exact. i know mike is keeping count.. how many deferments is that this year? all because of low iron... i will not eat liver. i don't care. stupid t-shirt isn't worth it. *you donate 10 times you get a t-shirt, but i mainly do it cause it's a good thing to do* nothng is worth eatting liver for.

so 1 out of 2 ain't bad.

arnie better not win.

my dad said he voted for gary coleman. i wonder who jocelyn voted for?

update: someboby shoot me... how many years of this crap? so far everyone has said that davis accountable for everything wrong with the state... did anyone forget that he came into the majority of this mess cause of 2-term-stupid-ass pete wilson. the same pete wilson that's arnie's campaign manager.... no. that man had 2 terms to screw shit up... 2 terms... people expect davis to have fixed the fall out of that man's administration in 4 simple years? the black outs were wilson's doing people.

i'm gonna regret posting this later. i just know it. *okay sheila think brainless.... stupid... clueless... think bratz dollz.* well look at that, former amazon jennifer sky is gonna be on 'charmed' next sunday.

NOT FAIR!

VOTE!

if you don't live in california... you are lucky, but people like jessica, kristel, glenn and myself will go to the polls and vote on this time wasting recall and vote on 2 propositions. i never wanted to not go vote so badly in my life... but the sooner this stupid election is over, the sooner arnie's stupid ads about indian gaming & casinos will leave the air.

do you know how many automated calls we've had here from arnie or mcclintock in the past 4 days...? i don't ever want to answer the phone again.

now to go entertain myself at the 'samurai girl' website and then go read 'good omens.'

i must be reporting to hell tomorrow at 6am. oh yah before i partake in my civic duty tomorrow i get to try to donate blood again. they better take it ... even with the low iron. i'm tired of getting my finger pricked for nothing. the finger prick is the worst part. just take my blood already.

black debbie

vh1's inside: primetime cartoons was cool to watch. i wanted to see more talent behind the voices... like eg daily from the powerpuff girls. *the only time i think i've seen her onscreen is when she was on 'friends' and she stole phoebe's 'smelly cat' song.*

my new favorite cartoon and has been for awhile now is sealab 2021. most of adult swim is pretty funny.

hmmm

one year i got my dad 'satin dolls: women of jazz' book/cd. then i got him 'the house of blues essential shoebox.' for his birthday 2 years ago i got him 'the martini diaries' with a set of martini glasses & john coltrane & muddy waters cds. then for christmas that same year i got him the 'ken burns jazz cd boxed set.' he bitched about all of em. i think he was just bitching to bitch. who knows. but all week 'martin scorsese's the blues' has been on pbs. so christmas this year should be no different with a choice of getting him the boxed set of cds or dvds.

hmm.... we'll see.

related links:
Ken Burns' Jazz
The Blues

jazz is one thing... blues is something else. the only blues i own muddy waters: live, 'mannish boy' my favorite and ray charles: the best of ray charles 'night time is the right time' is another favorite off of that one.

2f2f dvd

dvds have sunk to a new low... no really. the '2 fast 2 furious' dvd is a single disc... with extras like the 2 fast 2 furious prelude. wasn't that on the 'fast & the furious - tricked out edition' dvd... why yes it was sherlock. i just know it - they're going to re-release the '2f2f' dvd as a collector's edition when the 3rd movie comes out or just because. can you say 'pearl harbor?'

now i'm scared about the indiana jones dvds.

and on that note i'll ask you 'what have we learned about buying dvds?' well, you're supposed to buy them when they first come out because 1) they're way cheaper that way - 14 dollars for a dvd is a beautiful thing. 2) downgraded dvds. when a dvd first comes out - it has the pretty packagaing, think 'moulin rouge,' and that second disc of extras stuff is cool, think 'lord of the rings' and 'fight club' and 'memento.' all that stuff (and it is just stuff) is cool. so when i finally got the 'tomb raider' dvd i knew i was getting the downgraded single-disc thing. bleh.

lesson over.

Admiration

three sites i admire a lot... not only do they make & use their OWN work but they have been around longer than most people's domains...

Tracy of KATGYRL.COM
Gillian of SOAP-BUBBLE.COM
Angela of SPACEGIRL.ORG

stemming from a bit of a rant i had a few moments ago i swear some people don't last that long the on net... the minute you go back *BAM* their domain is expired. my favorite excuse that people use when going offline 'i need to have a life away from the computer. this is taking up too much of my time. i want to go to college. blah blah blah whine whine whine' make your own stuff while you're getting a life.

oh yah i now own all the mcdonald's kim possible toys. whee...! now i have to get the wibble toys.

english too

no shit. james this kid at work is from england. today in hell... he was taking people's orders... and this chick comes to the window and goes 'is that the guy that took my order?' 'oh.. james. yah.' 'is he english?' 'yes he is... he's from england.' 'oh he doesn't look how i expected.' '?' 'oooh. yah he's 16.' lots of grinning from her. after she sped on through... james then told me how he met some chick that said to him 'you're black... i didn't know there were black people in england.' poor kid... he's already dealing with american stupidity.

i had to add this to it:

Gustis****: I bet some of my own neighbors are that stupid too
Gustis****: you just never know until you talk to them and then it's too late

franceca lia block has written a new book, 'wasteland'. it came out yesterday... plus i must becoming quite the oblivious person... the new outkast video for 'hey yah!' off of their new 2 disc release speakerboxxx & the love below is so cool. andre makes wearing jockey pants cool.

reality tv's best making the band 2: da band new video for ' bad boy this bad boy that' is out and so is their cd.
