xhtml that beotches

so now all you so called web folks.. have to make your sites xhtml compliant... muahaha. you morons iwth all your messy coding in the first palce, let's see you do that one... yah yah i cheated... i'm using movabletype which publishes in xhtml compliant coding in the first place. who cares. at least I ALWAYS try to use alt tags like you're SUPPOSED TO.

i'm gonna get a MAC (computer not eyeshadow)... well an ibook and not a desktop. those people i am surrounded by are slowly converting me to their ways... but i still need a pc laptop.

AND christina.... alan rickman is still good looking. that voice of his good lord...! old man hotness.

now off to check livejournal friends.

edit: i think it's viewing number 4 of ROTK i went to today with ellie.

okay everytime i hear miranda otto deliver the line, 'i am no man!' i hear the song 'sisters are doin' it for themselves.'

smack it up, flip it up, rub it down!

i am so WIDE AWAKE my eyeballs are popping out of my head... !!

anyway i have to share what i'm seeing on the television at the moment. the movie 'masters of the universe' is on and it's at the part where julie (courtney cox) is trying to get away from skeletor's baddies and she runs smack dab into he-man's (dolph lundgren) chest! dolph is all oiled up and tan, looks sorta good. but he-man's outfit reeks of male stripper. it reminds me too much of my stripper molestation. UGH! nasty greasy, cod piece stripper. he was nasty... and he put his tongue in my ear. seeing julie run into that WELL BABY OILED chest, i started to yell, 'keep running julie! he's not going to save you! he's going to stick his tongue in your ear and touch you! run girl!'

it's only a movie, sheila. only a movie. no nasty male strippers in sight.

oh the despair

the oscars will fall into shadow! it's so funny. and it really is very onionesqe.

it's really no surprise about the actors getting left out.. it usually happens with this kind of movie. except for that one time back in 2002 when SIR IAN MCKELLAN was nominated i think for supporting actor for 'fellowship of the ring.' these movies mostly get noticed for the technical stuff - special efx and once in awhile the art direction. did alan lee win for 'fotr?' was he even nominated with all his wonderfulness? *alan lee co-authored/illustrated 'the faeries' with brian froud* so um, i don't know why everyone is acting all surprised.

everyone needs to get their ass on MSN! christina just kicked my butt at solitaire. thank goodness she didn't turn her webcam on and gloat. 25 to 3.

shake that ass

shake it like a salt shaker, get drunk with it, get loose with it, like short said let bruce bruce hit it! shake that ass real fast then stop!

no matter how many drinks i have had i could never, would never dance like that. well at least like the chicks in the video for that song. BUT i can bust out and start doing a drunk re-endition of 'aint nuthin but a g thang.' one day i will do bjork's 'army of darkness' or poe's 'trigger happy jack.' i think that's better than a drunk sheila doing a 'i will survive.'

maybe at a certain someone's wedding in march?

oh yah i forgot to post about wedding zen.

and the winner is....

lil gold man nominees were announced today.

edit: the last movie jessica saw was 'divine secrets of the ya-ya sisterhood'. and let me also add for the record that jessica still has yet to see TTT - standard or extended., yet she has all the movies in her home. widescreen tv... the whole entertainment shebang.

edit edit: this is ever so funny.

it's a small globe after all

i haven't seen 'the office' but i've read in entertainment weekly and heard from others *kristel* that the show is very funny. i also know that the golden globes are voted on by the hollywood foreign press... but i honestly didn't know that tv shows from abroad - the uk being included counted. so imagine my shock when i heard this.

i guess it just makes competition that much harder... or the market that much more open. did i say that right?

a young michael douglas - ES MUCHO SCARY!

edit: OH MY! i totally want to see 'a soldier's girl.' wow! just um wow.

*moment of silence*

for the wonderful MAC frost eyeshadow HAZE. it has been no more for the last 4 years. wait, maybe it's been 5 years. i remember going to the MAC store at the most wonderful, most beautiful outdoor mall down in san diego. anyway, the MAC counter folks said that they had to discontinue the color because they could no longer get the pigments that were used for HAZE. i almost cried, jessica had to forcefully take me away from the counter. i still have the little container it came in... sappy, huh?

anyway i've been thinking about starting an online petition for MAC to try by any means necessary to bring this beautiful two toned eyeshadow back. for old & new wearers alike. HAZE was something of a beauty from the rainbow spectrum. sisters we must unite and let MAC know how we feel.

Edit: oh yah you'll see a purple haze shadow listed, it's not the same thing as haze a frosted two toned shadow.

survivor: the bureaucratic edition

I HATE REALITY TV! do people actually watch that show? i guess so. HATE, HATE, HATE IT!

what i'm holding out for is 'survivor: the bureaucratic edition' it would be made up of former & current politicians. like bill clinton, condeleeza rice, george w. bush senior & junior, rev. al sharpton, bob dole, clarence thomas, colin powell, we can't forget hilary clinton.

that show would totally rock. i would watch EVERY SINGLE show. people voting each other off the island. with serious challenges... like idunno. but the challenges would be stuff legends are made of... and the backstabbing...

we got the reverand al & bob under a palm tree in some exotic, tropical location, 'yah bob that rice bitch, who does she think she is? the national advisor?' 'yah, well she can advise herself when she gets voted off tonight!' over walks hilary, 'what are you two doing?' al, 'we're getting rid of that idiot rice tonight.' 'oh really... are you sure you want to do that before you get rid of bill?' al & bob see the cold gleam in hilary's eyes as she walks away. bob, 'man, that's one cold bitch.'

then once that went over well in the ratings we could the international edition. oooh we could get prime minister tony blair! maybe even the queen of england?

that would be SO SWEET!

fantasies of snape

i'll do this one here.

the harry potter books which are just way cool. i did not start to read them until 1999 *jessica knows i was reading them down in san diego when i visited* 'harry potter & the prisoner of azkaban' had jsut come out and i wanted to know why they were on the bestseller lists and why the hell msot authors were bitter with jk rowling. *they were just jealous, still are*

anyway one of my favorite teachers in the series is severus snape. in the movies he's played by the actor *hubba, hubba* alan rickman. snape is a bastard. he has such a crappy attitude and the things he's done pretty much border on abuse. he's such an ass that if you saw him riding a bike, you'd drive your car into the bike lane in hopes he fall into a ditch.

BUT he's sounds like such a sexy bastard! screw the firemen... there ain't no fire that needs to be put out, but a potion that needs some stirring. i mean he's still a bastard, but he grows on you. and you start to wonder boxers or briefs? is that a pomade he uses in his hair or is just naturally greasy? what's he wearing underneath that robe?

then your thoughts turn to, 'professor snape, i've been very naughty and forgot my homework. do i need to stay after class?' then professor snape would say, 'sheila, you know how i feel about missed assignments. report to my dungeons after dinner!' 'oh right away sir!' hahahaha

i never had any teachers like that in real life. EVER. not in juniorhigh, highschool, college. not even traffic school. they were all pretty droll. boring... mostly women. my pre-cal teacher used to dig in her ears. so no real life teachers that inspired dirty thoughts. damn.

i feel like i missed out.

UPDATE: wait, wait there was one male teacher that lots of girls at my highschool here in the boonies liked. *no mari i don't want to know what kind dreams he gave you* he wasn't a teacher but a sub the school used all the time. he subbed for herbie lots & helped out with the basketball team. fameletti? i don't remember... he wasn't attractive to me. maybe because i was an inch or so taller than him... and think about it... if i were to wear some maddens or nine west shoes. it would never have worked.

'see baby, you, need to be this tall to ride this ride.' *as i point to myself* 'so sorry.'

oh my

i think i only have like 3 big movies for my summer viewing. hp3, spider-man 2, TROY. *points to sidebar* i have quite a few... but who's if i will have time for them. i really do hope that my favorite movie theatre gets HP again... i dunno the ghetto theatre had 'holes' and all the kids & adults were well behaved. who knows....? i might be out of the country by then.

i hated these books. i never had to shelve them, but i hate them. i hate the whole self-help section.

first thanks to the newest commenters: eunae & simone

thanks to my regular commeters: kristel *who's coming for a visit* & jessica *who has suddenly disappeared*

i'm this close to turning my comments off, cause no one ever comments. the refresh rate for this thing 33%. that means 33% of the readers are repeat visitors. *sighs* it's cool though... for nearly 3 years i went without comments, i suppose i can keep going without comments.

baby you ain't torquin' nothin'

so ellie & i saw 'torque' saturday. things to pay attention to when seeing this movie... first watch the trailer... no really. when they flash 'made by the team/producer/director behind 'fast & the furious,' 'xxx,' & blah blah' - they really do mean it. and just in case you need reminding matt schulze from 'the fast & the furious' (and 'blade 2,') is in 'torque' as a baddie. still not convinced? a line from 'the fast & the furious' that dom toretto (vin diesel) says 'i live my life one quarter mile at a time,' is said word for word by our newest hero - ford (played by martin henderson.) which is shot down by his girlfriend shane, 'that's the dumbest thing i ever heard.' i was the only one laughing out loud at that one.

if any of you do go see this movie... watch out for all the product placement... PEPSI. in case you think you'll miss it don't worry the PEPSI LOGOS are rather large.

oh yah everyone's t-bar was showing, well all the girls anyway. i don't think the guys were wearing any panties.

for the trailers head over to adtunes or what's that called forums.

OMG! *fanning myself* OMG! sorry... HALLE BERRY IS ON THE NEW COVER OF ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY AS CATWOMAN! it just came in the mail... well it came in yesterday's. CATWOMAN has been on my list over there *points to the sidebar, under dailes* since last summer. oh at first i thought it was all talk like everything else, but then production started. OH MY! i'm even have a livejournal icon with the catwomen from the tv show: lee merriweather, EARTHA KITT, & julie newmar. i even loved michelle pfeiffer's catwoman. 'i wouldn't touch you to scratch you.' I LOVE CATWOMAN!

let me just point out that the 1996 Catwoman Annual is in my top list of comics. selina & bruce are married, joker is the comissioner, & dick is their son. oh yah batman & catwoman - bad guys.

HOW PSYCHO EXCITED AM I? cover picture, table of content picture #1 and #2

before i go....

OMG Uta Hagen died? oh my. i'm a day late.

REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER IS BACK TONIGHT! i missed you so much bill!

'l word' is showtime's own answer to 'queer as folk.'

if you know me, you know i'm all for british humor. it's quite different from american humor. hello... MONTY PYTHON! AB FAB! with that being said, what the hell is this JERRY SPRINGER THE MUSICAL? that show offered me & roommates mindless filler during late night study sessions or when we were eatting at late *midnight.* the stories were hoirrible, a few times we even came up with our stories so one day we could be on the show, but a freaking musical? A MUSICAL?!?!?! i'm sorry they're calling it an opera. whatever.

comedy troupe in sacramento anyone?

bitter sister girl, gap mommy, meryl, blue botox, i have a 5th somewhere.

things to talk about: my dad & highschool admins, parents of the columbine idiots & how different ethnic parents would have been.

right now 'men in black ii' is on... my favorite exchange is when k (tommy lee jones) says to laura (rosario dawson) 'it rain's 'cause you're sad baby.' aaww.

now that the insane flying mouse is dead, my deskmates will no longer be molested. sorry guys.

that's the sound of the obvious going over my head. tonight i was able to watch 'coupling.' the original 'coupling.' not the american rip-off of the british rip-off of 'friends.' yah that one! so anyway i'm watching and i realized that the guy that plays 'steve' jack davenport is the same guy that played 'norrington' in 'pirates of the blah blah.' oooooooooh! i am slow.

raining panties & big time

the psychology behind fraham's 'fallingpanty' pin-ups is disturbing. i still like them, but erm i dunno.

MAROON 5 has hit the big time... they were on MTV's TRL yesterday.

caught the bastard!

YES!! the mouse that has eluded capture for the past month has been caught. see i thought spalding coming over the day would've worked, but no. spalding had other ideas, namely lazing about. crazy cat... BUT the mouse has been caught. i don't know how, but somehow the mouse can get on top of my desk. maybe it could fly... that's insane to think about, considering it's at least 3 feet between the bottom of the desk & the floor.

ding, dong the mouse is dead, the rodent mouse, the rodent mouse. ding dong the rodent mosue is dead!!

one more thing before i go... if you see someone punching in the code to get to their house, chances are it's their house. if they have the code to punch in the first place... think about it. no really, THINK ABOUT IT.

BLACK EYED PEAS

for those people that keep searching for 'stacy ferguson' or 'black eyed peas girl' - STACY FERGUSON is the girl in BLACK EYED PEAS. She used to be on that 80s show KIDS INCORPORATED and she was with the group WILD ORCHID. (best song 'Talk To Me - single worth owning) Because some people are lazy and can't use the search feature I installed on this blog I'll point you to the proper post with all the necassary links in it - HERE. This was brought on by the fact that THE BLACK EYED PEAS were on Saturday Night Live tonight. Gawd they're great live. So much energy...anyway. That's that. See you all next week.

Finally...

12 Days of a Starbucks Christmas 12 Days of a Starbucks Christmas

LADIES & GENTLEMEN - the mothership has called me home! oh yes! no not Saturday Night Live, but STARBUCKS. i was in the store a week ago and someone i used to work with at Borders was there. he has his own starbucks store to manage, and he offered me a job. so not only do i get serve coffee with a smile *and it not be fake,* BUT i also get the schedule i want. EARLY, VERY EARLY mornings which means I have no reason to NOT pursue some other, erm interests of mine. woohoo! Plus Starbucks is a fair trade company.

the pictures are of the collected sleeves that have the 'starbucks 12 days of christmas' printed on them. i'm missing day 5, day 8, day 11, & day 12.

woohoo! right now the sci-fi channel is showing an episode of 'Hercules: the Legendary Journeys' with Gina Torres! woohoo! i wonder what it's like for Nebula to be married to Morpheus?

update: i went to Francesca Lia Block's site and 2 of her out-of-print books 'Primavera' & 'Ecstasia' are republished by Firebird Books. AND the covers look like they were done SUZA SCALORA! oh happy day!

Pin-Ups

for miss kristel who thinks you can't have more than one calendar at a time... pfffaw! i'm so sure... 2001 i had 6, but i only used my boris vallejo & julie bell calendar. now that makes me think... this is the 2nd year in a row without a boris or julie calendar. *sniffle, sniffle* at least i have some smooshed fairies this time around.

*now i regret selling my julie bell x-men/marvel posters.*

anyway for pin-up related stuff TASCHEN has IMHO the best collections of pin-up books & calendars. doing a search on their site they have a 2004 wall calendar, 2004 page-a-day calendar, the great american pinup book, the great american pinup postcard book, and a book for gil elvgren. there's also a pinup calendar put out by cedco on amazon.

so in short there is no need to go without pin-ups this year.

:sad

anyway ellie & i saw 'paycheck' on sunday. it was very sci-fi-ish. i suppose i should start to read philp k dick's stuff if they're going to continue to make movies based on his work.

gas watch

i thought about making a thing on my blog called gas watch - watching the price of gas go up, up, up, up and then come down. i have 4 quotes for chevron's regular unleaded...

08/18/2003 - $2.09
12/22/2003 - $1.53
12/29/2003 - $1.58
01/05/2004 - $1.63

ps. let me go on record saying that 3 years ago $10 filled the tank of my lil honda.
pps. i'm advid supporter of mass transportation but due the county's suckiness the rt (bus/light rail) situation in sacramento sucks so i don't use it.

comedic whore

Services like LiveJournal and Tribe are poised to be the next big
thing on the Web in 2004, but their security and privacy practicesare
more like 1997, writes Annalee Newitz.

read the article here

let me add that livejournal jsut now recently stopped letting spiders & bots crawl through protected posts. that's right you could have googled someone's livejournal and seen a cached protected/friends only post. but in recent livejournal upgrades they have an option to not let bots through your livejournal.

this post has nothing what-so-ever to do with comedy.

way back

i finally imported all my old entries... everything from march 2000 to july of last year are now included in this here blog. i lost everything from 1999 and like 2 from 1998 a long time ago. prolly when i ghosted everything over.

since i LOOOVE MT so much i added in some more tags to the left... and you can now see how many entries & comments i have total. which is kinda self-absorbed. but at least i really blog in the traditional sense sometimes as well journal some things.

man i really do need to update my pin-up stuff. i have the great american pin-up postcards & the great american pin-up book both by taschen. what i really need are those out-of-print posters taschen a long time ago. gil elvgren & vargas rock.

to be a comedian or not to be a comedian, that is the question.

wait how was everyone's new years? christmas? kwanza? hannukah?

the things you hear in a public restroom

yesterday i saw 'ROTK' for a second time. at one point i went to the restroom. i was not eavesdropping, ear hustling... oh no. they were talking that loudly. both of these women were in restroom stalls....

woman #1: the woman that was in here must have hovered over the seat. there are droplets on the seat and the floor. everywhere.
woman #2: maybe she has problems or something.
woman #1: she looked like such a nice lady.
