Comic-Con/Cloverfield
JJ either released some kind of statement at Comic-Con about 'Cloverfield.' It's going to be an updated American version of all those giant sized monster movies a la Godzilla. At least that's what the ticker tape on the bottom of my television read.
I called it.
I think I'm already going to hate it.
Screw you Ethan Haas.

My Must List & Cloverfield
1. Harry Potter & The Deathly Hollows tonight, like everywhere. Yah, I'm a geek so what. As long as I don't whip out my Commodore 20 from 1984, we'll be okay. *Yes, I still have it.* Spoilers... yeah I read them so what. Still gotta read the book.
2. 'Shark Week' starts Sunday night! Seriously, sharks in HD if you're lucky.
3. Comic-Con! If you're not going like me then Comic-Con on G4 TV! Don't believe me check out last year's coverage. They even cover Preview Night. So, next year? Right, Kristel? For real this time.
4. Black Canary - isn't she amazing?
5. 'Burn Notice,' 'Army Wives,' and 'Kansas City Swat.'
6. Sprung on Nintendo DSlite
7. 'Cloverfield' - paramount's official trailer, 1-18-08.com - official site, Ain't It Cool News speculation, IMDB.com & messageboard, my previous post about the craziness.
ETA: Either MT or the backend (datebase) is messed up. So no comments or 'real' blogging until I give an ant's ass and fix it. Cheers!

07/07/07 & Untitled JJ Abrams Project
Yah not nearly as scary as IRS!
Two more words for you: Doctor and Who. Season 3 started last night. Boom-chika-wah-wah!
Plus Sci-Fi added more to their Flash Gordon site.
The 'Cloverfield' post are one or two days ago. Good luck on your quest.
A trailer? Yup right here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luZzNPGSvWo
And a mention on CNBC - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WcPvu5canE
I wonder how long before Paramount finds that one and has it pulled. Anyone want to bet?
ETA: 1-18-08.com is apparently the site. They've updated it with another still from the trailer.

Cloverfield - The Movie
I guess.
So the mysterious trailer at the beginning of 'Transformers' can be found YouTube. For a limited time only, as Paramount will have it yanked.
YouTube link 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PECfkrxE9Bc
YouTube link 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njcHGunU89w
What we know. J.J. Abrams (Alias, LOST) is producing it. The whole Bad Robot logo at the beginning of the trailer gave that away. (No, I won't mention Felicity as that show doesn't count. Come on, she pretty much stalked the guy.) It's being released on January 18, 2008. It's being written by Drew Goddard. The Statue of Liberty's face is ripped off and thrown across the city of New York.
The 'Cloverfield' wiki entry - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloverfield
IMDB.com messageboard - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1060277/board
'Cloverfield' at AICN - http://www.aintitcool.com/section/term/20808
Cloverfield's official website maybe - http://www.1-18-08.com
Another possible website (Paramount listed as the domain's contact) - http://www.cloverfieldmovie.com
Everything is speculation at this point. It's fun to watch fanboys (& girls) get excited over this.
.....
I guess that includes me too.
ETA: Looks like the jury is still out on this being a Godzilla movie (please no!)
ETA2: An online game that ties in with the movie - http://www.ethanhaaswasright.com
I'm getting all my information the IMDB.com messageboards. You just have to sift through the garbage to get it.
ETA3: http://ethanhaaswaswrong.blogspot.com another one.
ETA4: Paramount had the trailers yanked off of YouTube but you catch the super fuzzy trailer up on Daily Motion http://www.dailymotion.com/dwane007/video/x2gjax_cloverfield-de-jj-abrams. Hurry before Paramount finds them too!

Hello, McFly!
HBO is running a Back to the Future marathon.
Sweet.
ETA: This whole JJ Abrams mystery movie thing is almost like the Janet Jackson nipple thing all over again.
I'm going to read a book, when I come back you better be gone. Whoops, nevermind '40 Year Old Virgin' is on.

TRANSFORMERS!
Oh goodness...! If you watched the original 'Transformers' cartoon back in the 80s are between the ages of 25 and 40, YOU WILL HAVE ALL DIFFERENT KINDS OF GASMS while in your seat.
I went to an 8 o'clock show last night and oh my goodness. It was amazing. Bumblebee is my new trannie 'Transformers' hero.
There better be a 'Transformers 2.'
I wonder if they can do a non-sucky version of a live action 'Jem & the Holograms?'
ETA: People coming by from searching/googling 'Bad Robot' and 01/18/2008 for information on that super-sekrit J.J. Abrams project go here. I was just as stumped as you are. You can always login to IMDB.com and read the messageboards for 'Untitled J.J. Abrams Project.'
Don't worry it's not a Godzilla movie.
Thank goodness for Worst Previews. Some idjit made a video of the trailer.
